The conditions for a successful growing year begin in Winter. In 2025, a sufficiently cold period followed by a wet Spring when abundant rain fell evenly and regularly allowed underground hydraulic reserves to build. This is an essential factor that enabled our vines to withstand the high heat of the Summer months for the roots were able to search deep underground for moisture and nourishment even in the full heat of Summer.
The vineyard year started well as the vines came back to life, taking on vigorous and continuous vegetative growth. This, allied with the Summer heat, allowed for the grapes to ripen fully phenolically, bringing forward the harvest date by about a week compared to the 2024 vintage.
This gradual and even maturation has allowed us to make wines that are fresh, well-balanced, with beautiful aromas, in short, genuine and harmonious.
