We finished the harvest last Monday, and now the Barbera as well as the Nebbiolo grapes are all in the cellar. The forecast was for lots of rain, so we brought the harvest forward a little bit in order to bring in all the remaining grapes.
This year has been very difficult because of the adverse weather - lots of rain and not much sun - but nonetheless we have been able to harvest good quality grapes, reaching the optimal grade of maturation and sugar levels. Now we are proceeding with the work in the cantina and the first indications are that this year's wines are not looking at all bad!
