It is incredible how time flies: we are already into a new year and soon it will be Spring.

We had an excellent harvest in 2015, in spite of the heat and dryness that we had over most of the summer months. By mid-August, heaven-sent rains arrived along with cooler temperatures that contributed to an optimum maturation for the dolcetto, barbera and nebbiolo grapes.

The wines from this year have power and structure but also freshness and elegance, well-balanced and already very pleasant to drink. All things considered, I believe that we can consider 2015 to be more than just a good year.

Here in Langa, winter hasn’t yet brought snow. We’ve enjoyed some beautiful days, and Goran, Vasile and I have taken advantage of this to cut some wood for the next year. Wood-cutting is an activity that I find deeply relaxing and enjoy very much; and certainly we never lack having a bottle of good wine on hand for when we get thirsty…
